Welcome to our plot!
I'm Hazel, and in Nov 2006 my friend Jane and I took on a half plot at Hill Allotments, Sutton Coldfield - we want the satisfaction of growing and eating our own fruit and veg, and to improve our diet (and fitness!).
This is the story of what happened next...........
A melting ice-cream chicken?
ReplyDeleteI know it was a bit tenuous - posted on Ash Wednesday, after Shrove Tuesday when you use up your eggs in pancakes?
ReplyDeleteThink I'll be OK for skip painting on Saturday - nothing else on at the moment but will check with Mike when he's up. My e-mail address should come up. I've ticked the box, but if not it is athena1943@talktalk.net
ReplyDeleteHoping to get to plot this morning so will try to find out about paint and brush situation.
looks like the head of china chicken shaped egg bowl... exactly like the one my mum used to have :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, P&M, that is exactly the sensible comment that WW should be eliciting! Take note the rest of you scallywags! {grin}
ReplyDeleteI've wanted a china chicken for eggs for years - we grew up with one in the kitchen (mum either had it as a wedding present, or she bought it with her first Avon money - either way it's about 50yrs old). She did say that she'd leave it me in her will, but I think she'll be going strong when she's a hundred, so when I had the kitchen refitted last year it was the perfect opportunity to get my own, and this is it. Mum bought it for me for my birthday. :)
