To say 'it's been raining today' would be somewhat of an understatement. It has been real Noah's Ark weather, & I have spent a great deal of time running around emptying seed trays whenever the various bean & pea seedlings looked to be in danger of drowning.
I'm sure that the plants at the Hill are lovin' it, though, & should the rain forecast for tomorrow let up a little, I will go and see for myself.
At least this has meant that I haven't had to water the hanging baskets (a chore if ever I saw one), & in fact I am rather pleased with the way the four of them are coming on - all the flowers I have grown from seed that I'd swapped/been given, & last year the planted-up baskets cost £12.99 each from the garden centre, so this has been well worth doing!
Please send some of the H2O up here, we've had a couple of showers but nothing like the amount the garden needs.
ReplyDeleteWe've had hurricane winds but no rain at all. The spuds are crying out for a good soaking!
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to pinch your rain, girls - honestly, I would have shared it around if I could!
ReplyDeleteSteady rain till mid afternoon again today - apparently well over an inch yesterday, and I think about the same today.
