Welcome to our plot!

I'm Hazel, and in Nov 2006 my friend Jane and I took on a half plot at Hill Allotments, Sutton Coldfield - we want the satisfaction of growing and eating our own fruit and veg, and to improve our diet (and fitness!).

This is the story of what happened next...........

Summer Rain - and a lot of it!

Although rain had been forecast, it was fine all morning - but then it did start to rain at about 1pm. And boy, did it rain!

This is a picture of a bucket which happened to be outside this afternoon & this photo was taken at tea time - the water level inside the bucket was just under 5".

Well at least I didn’t have to go and water the tomatoes!

  1. Would ya stop hogging all the H2O? Really need another good downpour here, partly because the ground is so dry, and partly because I would like an excuse to stay indoors all day and chill out!
