Well, even without going to the Hill this evening, I must say that there was plenty of choice for my meals today.
After home grown lettuce & cucumber in a sandwich for lunch, I had a choice of varieties of potatoes to go with my lamb chops this evening (cooked with red onion & garlic), then peas, two types of French bean, courgette (yellow or green), cabbage from Reg-next-plot, carrots & broad beans (from Paul by the gate).
Of course, I didn't eat all that lot - I'd be the size of a house - but what fabulous variety!
And which cake did you have for pud?

It's hard NOT to eat a large amount of veg at this time of year if you grow your own!
ReplyDeleteMarble cake distributed round the borough, with a little in the freezer, fruit cake for suppers, Julie - yum yum!
ReplyDeleteIt is delicious, Dinzie, if I say so myself!
We're a bit spoilt for choice at the mo, Flum - must remember these times when I'm eating kale for the 15th day in a row in January...
