Welcome to our plot!

I'm Hazel, and in Nov 2006 my friend Jane and I took on a half plot at Hill Allotments, Sutton Coldfield - we want the satisfaction of growing and eating our own fruit and veg, and to improve our diet (and fitness!).

This is the story of what happened next...........

Well the main feature of today has been the rain.

And when we all got bored of looking out the window at the rain, it rained some more. In fact there was so much rain that I went outside three times today and emptied all of the seed trays of water.

And it is warm - in fact perfect growing weather.

I think that if the sun shines tomorrow then we'll all get knocked sideways by a great whump of rising sap.

  1. Loads of sunshine here today after yesterday's rain. As you say, perfect gardening weather.

  2. At least my chickens dried out before bedtime!

  3. Send some sunshine down here will you, Bilbo!

So chickens so daft that they stand out in the rain, Flum, rather than under the hen house? Bird-brains indeed!
