Welcome to our plot!

I'm Hazel, and in Nov 2006 my friend Jane and I took on a half plot at Hill Allotments, Sutton Coldfield - we want the satisfaction of growing and eating our own fruit and veg, and to improve our diet (and fitness!).

This is the story of what happened next...........

Show Preparations III

...and today it was the turn of the onions - I had them all spread out and tried to chose the most uniform three (plus a backup) for both the onion set class, & for the collection.

Of course, I couldn't quite decide on just three for each class, but I've whittled it down to a shortlist, which are strung up for further drying on the airer, & I'll decide on which make the grade, at the end of the week.

  2. Thanks, Dinzie - they all look a hotchpotch in the photo, but I have some on the other arm of the airer so it's just a case of deciding whether to go with the red or white onions...
